Hello, and thank you for visiting the TANE JOURNEY blog.
What we want to hand over here is not a “big answer” or a “perfect form.” It is a small "seed of noticing (TANE)" ―― the kind that sprouts when you happen to pause in the middle of an ordinary day.
Fermentation, such as miso and koji. Skincare made by hand. The old know-how around what we wear, eat, and live in. And how all of it can be put to use in life as it is lived now.
What I am able to do may not be anything large. But it is to stay quietly close to each person, and to bring a way of seeing that says not “it has to be done this way” but “so it can also be done like this.”
I believe that this, built up a little at a time, makes daily life freer, warmer, and fuller.
I would be glad if this blog became a small prompt or a small light for you, and led to the courage to take a new step.
From here on I will write sincerely, with care, a little at a time. I look forward to having you here.

A first-grader had become a fourth-grader
The miso I made was pale. Quite different from the colour I was used to seeing on the shelf.

I knew, and still did not do it
Miso can be made at home. I had known that for a long time.

What I wanted was not for sale
I looked everywhere. The thing I wanted to use was not sold anywhere.
